Can I register directly in the race?
No, the race gets fully booked early. The best thing is to book well in time. When it is full it is full. Marcialonga's aim is to put the skiers in the first place and therefore, they put priority to give everyone a great skiing experience and not more participants.

Is there any waxing service?
Yes, prior the race, Globalrunners and other guests can help you with advice on how to wax your skis. We have one theoretical lecture about waxing Friday evening and one practical lesson on Saturday for those who wish. If you want to leave your skiis for waxing by local specialists, there is a shop close by our hotels. In 2018 it cost 40-50 Euro (a little more if they were not cleaned).

During the race there are waxing service stations along the trails. The last one is just below and before the hill up to Cavalese.

Is there a rope and maximum time?
Yes, but the limits are generous. Rope is drawn in Canazei, Predazzo and Molina where those who have not passed have to leave the race.

Where are the depots?
Please check the picture at the end of this page. Along the trials, you will be served with energy, first aid, waxing service and a pole and a ski are possible to borrow if yours break.

Can I be seeded?
Yes, races in Worldloppet will seed you if your result is maximum 1-2 years old. These races are included in Worldloppet:

America: American Birkebeiner · Gatineau  · Ushuaia
Asia: Sapporo International Ski Marathon  · Vasaloppet China
Europe: Bieg Piastów · Birkebeinerrennet · Demino Ski Marathon · Dolomitenlauf · Engadin Skimarathon · Finlandialoppet · Fossavatn Ski Marathon · Jizerská padesátka · König-Ludwig-Lauf ·Marcialonga · Tartu Maraton · Transjurassienne · Vasaloppet
Oceania: Kangaroo Hoppet · Merino Muster

Is it hard compared to Vasaloppet and Tjevasan?
According to us and most of our guests, Marcialonga is usually not as demanding as Vasaslopet and Tjevasan and Kortvasan. You have to get up to Canazei, it is not a steep uphill climb. After Canazei you will as you see on the profile of the race below head downwards through Val di Fassa and it is easy to pole. In Val di Fiemme it is fairly flat. The last hill is about 2 km and it is steep. If you are an elite skier, maybe this hill is your goal with the whole trip. Most people prefer to get more grip wax below the hill and then continue with the help of the audience cheering and the loudspeakers at the finish line. Our experience is that this last hill is far easier than its reputation - you will for sure make it!

How are the hotels?
Our hotels are very nice, locally owned and managed 4-star hotels in the center of Moena. There are mainly doubles and twins. There are also a limited number of single rooms and triples.

Can I come earlier and/or leave later?
Yes, no problem. Just tell us when you fill in the booking form. Additional nights means additional payment for these and you will not have any tour leader during these additional days.
