Ellika Nyqvist Livchitz, CEO

As a travel producer for several decades, Ellika has had it as a calling to teach herself and others more about how people live and think in different cultures. She has participated in and arranged numerous events in areas such as sports, education and human rights. At work and in her free time, she likes to run, cycle, swim, and do workout, but prefers to sea kayaking and cross-country skiing the most.

Ellika has lectured hundreds of times on sustainable development and human rights with a focus on travel, since 2015 often financed by the Swedish Development Cooperation Agency. At Visit Sweden, she was responsible for the Swedish ecotourism label Naturens Bästa. She's a physiotherapist and journalist and previously worked in these professions. With long experience and great knowledge, she tries to arrange as fun and sustainable trips as possible.

Favorite country: Nepal.

Anders Livchitz, chairman

Anders made his debut as a runner at the Swedish season opening, the "Två Sjöar Runt". Several years and +300 races later, he has amassed a large bank of good and less good races from 5 kilometers and up. He likes the half marathon distance best, it fits at any time of the year. To keep his body injury-free, he alternates running with skiing, cycling and swimming, concluding the "A Swedish Classic" several times.

For 15 years, Anders trained young people and adults in the building blocks of running. His package tours to the Kortvasan during the Vasaloppet week are legendary as well as events around the Stockholm Midnight Race for several hundred people. Anders had also arranged group trips to international half marathons and several athletics camps, before we started Globalrunners.

Favorite destination: Istanbul.

Do you participate as a leader on all trips?

No. Sometimes we go both of us, sometimes just Ellika. On some trips we have other tour leaders and on some no tour guide is included,

You're really fast, right?

Honestly we are not! We participate for pure pleasure, not to prove anyting. Having a goal means that we train a little more diligently.

That we participate in the races, is part of our concept. We have full control of how it feels on the starting line and what you as a racer need. No old qualifications, races and conditions change.
